On the afternoon of March 29th 2024, a conference was held at Hai Phong City Convention Center to evaluate the results of the cooperation program in science, technology and innovation activities between the People’s Committee of Hai Phong City and the Ministry of Science and Technology. As part of the conference, there was an MOU signing ceremony among Hai Phong University and other partners in the training programs of the electronics and integrated circuit, digital transformation in education and creative innovation.

Attending the conference, there were Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Science and Technology; Mr. Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Phong City’s Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang, Mr. Hoang Minh, Deputy Ministers of Science and Technology;  Mr. Nguyen Van Tung, Chairman of Hai Phong City People’s Committee; Mr. Pham Van Lap, Chairman of the City People’s Council, Mr. Dao Khanh Ha, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of Propaganda Department of the City Party Committee; Mr. Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board; Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee as well as the leaders of the City’s departments, committees and sectors.

In the conference, an MOU signing ceremony was organized among Hai Phong University, Ho Chi Minh Hi-Tech Park Training Center, Sun Edu International Education JSC, Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology on implementing the electronics and integrated circuit training program, solutions for digital transformation in education and creative innovation.  According to the signing minutes, the parties jointly build, consolidate and expand the strategic and comprehensive cooperation to better exploit the potentials and strengths in each party’s field of operation for the sake of long-term, sustainable and mutually beneficial development.

Specifically, Hai Phong University and the other parties will establish and strengthen the collaboration in sharing experiences, and consulting on the implementation of the solutions for digital transformation in education and innovation based on practices and experiences that each party has been executing, particularly in the fields of integrated circuit design, control and automation, robotics, IoT (Internet of Things), information technology, digital transformation and innovation. In particular, the focal points go to the coordination in short-term training courses, expertise training of each party, professional exchange, theoretical and practical training courses, hands-on learning, sharing by experts and experienced lecturers from SUN EDU for engineers and students so as to provide high quality human resources to meet the practical needs of Hai Phong City.

 In addition, the parties will cooperate in implementing many programs, scientific and innovation projects in line with their fields of expertise. Hai Phong University will be supported in developing a capacity conversion training programs for engineers and students of technical majors such as Information Technology, Mechatronics Engineering Technology, Machine Manufacturing Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Control and Automation Engineering Technology, who will meet job positions in the integrated circuit industry, providing human resources for the city and the nation as a whole. Furthermore, the parties will collaborate in introducing foreign partners to promote teaching and scientific research, technology transfer and innovation.

 As part of the conference, the National Innovation Center (NIC) also awarded the license of integrated circuit design software to Hai Phong University

 This was an important event, which opened up many new development opportunities for Hai Phong University in the field of electronics and integrated circuit training as well as digital transformation in education and innovation. At the same time, it was also a chance to enhance the prestige and position of Hai Phong University in the contribution to the economic and social development of Hai Phong City.
